Kyle McDonald – update

The KERA Committee met with the Police this evening, who gave us an update. They wanted to reassure residents that although the forensic work has been completed around the estate, and the cordons removed, they are still very much hard at work, trying to track down Kyle’s killer. Kyle is believed to have been shot in the vicinity of Kambala Road or Musjid Road, and staggered to Coppock Close before collapsing.  It seems inconceivable that no-one saw anything. Although Kyle lived in Fulham, he had many friends on and around the Estate, but many young people are reluctant to talk to the Police.   It’s possible that some of Kyle’s friends are involved in Criminal activity in the area, and this may be why many are not willing to speak out – but the detectives we spoke to are far more focused on finding a murderer, than in any low-level crime, and hearing from the young people in the area remains their best chance of bringing Kyle’s killers to justice. Even if you don’t believe you have anything that would help – if there was something unusual that you saw or heard last Wednesday evening, then we urge you to contact the incident room on 020 8358 0200, or, if you want to make an anonymous report, contact Crimestoppers free, on 0800 555 111, or online at their website  ...

We’re still here! New and Improved!

Yes, despite a rocky few months, the Kambala Estate Residents Association is once again a going concern! We held what we thought could be the last ever Public Meeting, during July – but instead, we found some keen and enthusiastic volunteers, eager to prevent the Residents Association from folding. There’s a lot for the new Committee to learn – we’ve had a couple of Committee Meetings already, and we have another one this week, at which we plan to set a date and Agenda for the first Public Meeting. You’ll have noticed that the Website is having a bit of a makeover too – it’s not done yet, and you may well see a few more changes – so watch this space!   Share this:Click to print (Opens in new window)Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)MoreClick to email this to a friend (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)Click to share on Google+ (Opens in new...
